Portland Show Calendar: December 13 – 18

Greetings, comrades. I, dj zen_hound, arrive again with a little show guide for those of you who might like a little help deciding what to do with your nights out this coming week. Look and click below, as I’ve attached several bandcamp links where available for audio previewing.

This list might seem short in comparison to past calendars I’ve posted, and yes, shows are slowing down a bit as we get deeper into the holiday season, but let me assure you there is no shortage of quality here. Carcass, Obituary and Cattle Decapitation on a Tuesday night? Japanese-Canadian psychedelic rock marvels TEKE::TEKE playing that very same night? Rank and Vile, Theories and Nurser, Friday night knocking down Old Town at the Shanghai Tunnel? Long-time contender for “Best Band In Portland” Gaytheist, playing with the scarily good, how-have-I-not-heard-of-them-before Rhododendron? Seriously, music is good right now, and anyone telling you anything different cannot be trusted. Trust zen_hound, and read on.
